TikTok launches Pulse Premiere ad program
TikTok is expanding its Pulse Ads program with a premium option that maximizes ad placement to specific verticals and topics, including the most popular content on the app. The new venture, Pulse Premiere, is an extension of current Pulse ads, launched last May, and enables marketers to place ads alongside TikToks that are in the top 4% of any given performers’ catalog on any given day.
eBay appoints new head of emerging markets, covering regions like Southeast Asia and India
eBay announced today that it has appointed Vidmay Naini as its general manager for global emerging markets, a role that covers the company’s growth in Southeast Asia, India, Eastern Europe, Israel, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. In a statement, Naini said, “The digital economy is exponentially growing in these markets, with small and medium-sized businesses propelling its growth. Global e-commerce platforms such as eBay can revolutionize export opportunities and expand the reach these businesses can achieve”.
YouTube rolls out new YouTube Shorts ad options
YouTube Shorts is performing particularly well, with recent figures revealing that the format is generating more than 50 billion daily views. YouTube is looking to tap into, integrating the format with the YouTube Select ad presentation system. Digital brands that use YouTube Select will have their ads placed at the very start of the hottest trending Shorts. In addition, YouTube is adding Shorts to ongoing Video Reach campaigns, which utilize AI to optimize ad placement and boost efficiency.
Instagram updates UGC policies
The biggest change is to Branded Content Ads, which have now been renamed as Partnership Ads. These ads will now offer brands and creators more partnership opportunities which should help fuel growth and collaboration on Instagram. In addition, brands will now have the ability to use more types of UGC, including Collab posts, people and product tags, and other types of non-paid partnership content. Furthermore, brands will now be able to generate ads using a creator’s handle without the need for an existing post and have more control over ad reach.
