Google announces five new features coming to Chrome for iPhone and iPad
Google offers Enhanced Safe Browsing feature. This one is a security-centered feature that proactively warns you about dangerous websites you are about to visit. Chrome for iOS also gets another feature: alerts for compromised credentials. One more feature coming to Chrome for iOS is called “Chrome Actions”. This is a quality-of-life feature that lets you easily perform a certain tasks without having to dive deep into the app’s settings to find it.
TikTok tests a dedicated Shop feed that highlights products you can buy now
TikTok is testing a dedicated “Shop” feed tab that lets users browse and purchase products from several different categories, such as clothing and electronics. The feed tab is currently being tested in Indonesia. The Shop tab serves as a hub for products being sold in TikTok Shop, a shopping feature that enables merchants and creators to showcase and sell products directly on TikTok. TikTok Shop is currently available in select markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Google Launch Support Programs for Small Businesses
With this week (June 27th to July 1st) celebrating International Small Business Week, Google has announced the release of several SMB support tools and offers aimed at helping small businesses make the most of their online presences and stand out to customers online. The first thing they are offering is a range of discounts on digital tools that are aimed at helping SMBs to operate and grow more efficiently. Additionally, Google has announced plans to provide extra support for entrepreneurs from the LGBTQ+ community.
Snapchat officially launches Snapchat+
Snapchat just rolled out its Snapchat+ subscription service which offers access to exclusive in-app features like app icons and custom profile badges, insights and other tools. Snapchat+ offers features such as exclusive Snapchat icons, badges that show users are Snapchat+ users, access to location history and an option to pin top friends.
Meta’s shutting down its digital wallet, Novi
Meta’s ending the pilot for Novi, the company’s digital wallet. On Novi’s website, Meta says the wallet is shutting down on September 1st, 2022, and asks users to withdraw their funds “as soon as possible.” Users will lose access to their accounts come September, and will no longer be able to add money to Novi starting July 21st.
TikTok launches Attribution Manager tool on platform
TikTok has finally catered to marketers with its Attribution Manager tool within the Ads Manager platform. The tool allows marketing managers can look after their investments. You can set custom attribution windows in TikTok marketing campaigns and gain more ad performance and tracking capacity data.
