China is preparing an antitrust investigation into Google


China is preparing to launch an antitrust probe into Alphabet Inc's GOOGL.O Google, looking into allegations it has leveraged the dominance of its Android mobile operating system to stifle competition.

The case was proposed by Huawei last year and has been submitted by the country’s top market regulator to the State Council’s antitrust committee for review.

A decision on whether to proceed with a formal investigation may come as soon as October and could be affected by the state of China’s relationship with the United States.

Instagram user’s account was stolen by a Facebook employee


Danny Hall tried to access his Instagram account (@danny), although he encountered an error message at login.

Soon after, the person responsible for compromising the account had deleted all photos, posting his own images instead, even publishing a story where he presumed his “new account”, saying he got it with the help of a friend who works on Facebook.

When the Twitter post went viral, Instagram CEO Adam Moseri contacted Hall to find a solution, although no further details are known so far.
